And I think you can't do that either Patientman!!
They won't give you a student visa because I think they'll ask you if you applied/been before in/to Quebec in anyway in your student visa application!!
So my advice is also to wait

I'm planning to apply QSW soon, but need some inputs from you guys with below calculated points.


Qubec Skilled worker

Education 10

Education - 12yrs HSC + 3yrs Bachelors of commerce (India) + 1yr MSc in Computer science (U.K) = 16Yrs for Education
Area of training - for Computer support, currently working in IT as support)
Experience - 3 years of professional Exp in IT
Language - IELTS:6.5 in listening/speaking + french A1 + A2

Can you confirm the points claimed for Education, Area's of training & Experience is accurate for filling for QSW

It took from 5 Jan to 16 May 2013 to finish files from 391xx to 401xx (around 5 months)
I will take another 5 Months to finish files from 401xx to 413xx

Even though my file is submitted in December 2010, i just noticed that my file number is 407XX
But I noticed that most of the people who submitted around the same time as myself were more like 393XX or something

Any thoughts on this weird situation? you think that the job type play a role?

I am on the waiting list since 30/10/2010

I was on waiting list on 18 Oct 2012 file 401xx & Interview 16 May 2013

This means they didn't reach 407xx

Any idea which file number they have reached now or there was no progress in June you think? So you are saying that they process about 100 files a month.

Lets say each office do 5 interviews per day x 3 missions (officers) = 15 per day x 5 days per week = 45 interviews.

600 files between me & you divided by 45 = 13 weeks for your turn

Start counting from 16 May up today 6 weeks gone
