27 months just for the federal part. His CSQ came pretty quickly in about 5 months. He's been waiting for the federal part since May 2010. Hopefully this doesn't discourage you! I think with all the changes, processing time should be quicker. My only concern is that his CSQ will be expiring in March 2013 (it only last 3 years) So we are hoping CIC sends him the medical and his visa in the next 4 months!

Don't worry about the expiration of the CSQ our friend Randski got his Medicals and his CSQ was already expired. They told him in the embassy that they will renew it for him.

that's good to hear thanks! Do you think they will soon send out the medical tests to those who have been waiting for a long time?

That's not the right question. The right question is will they give us visas after the Medicals? Because our friend Yma has been waiting for 6 months now after he has done the med exams and he still didn't get anything whereas the family class sponsorship applicants are getting visas and they haven't been waiting like us.

Guys good news......
All of us will get our interview before 14 December

They just updated their missions all interviews in Istanbul
There are 4 missions that means 4 officers will do interviews at same time.

That's not the right question. The right question is will they give us visas after the Medicals? Because our friend Yma has been waiting for 6 months now after he has done the med exams and he still didn't get anything whereas the family class sponsorship applicants are getting visas and they haven't been waiting like us.

Really??? But I guess the delay is due to the Damascus VO closing down and reorganization of the Beirut VO. Things should move faster from now on...or at least that's what I keep telling myself so I don't go completly crazy!!!

in all cases, they send an email informing the applicant that he is on waiting list for a selection interview, 6 months prior to sending the interview appointment ??

yes exactly this is what happen and the interview date after 2 month of the email which assigning the date

if so, i think most of us here were supposed to receive similar email (mentioning that we r on waiting list) specially those whose file numbers are 40xxx and below .. right ?

anyone who received such an email plz inform us.

Then probably as our friend lemans mentioned its not necessary that they send such an email, coz as i see ur friend file number is 38xxx and urs 39xxx
and if in 8 months from now (6 months on waiting list, 2 months for appointment) u won't have an interview, then for whom they will do interviews within the next missions !

So in our case, we have to wait more than 6 months

So in our case, we have to wait more than 6 months

mmm .. but they reached 36xxx in the last mission, it was expected that they reach 38xxx within the coming missions !

already we completed 22 months waiting interview.

But see maybe not a rule?
The latest update on CIC web 20August 2012 showing
Lebanon 31 months for CSQ interview
UAE 25 months for CSQ interview

So its true we gonna wait 10 months more lol
