hi javeedislam,

According to my letter, my interview is in Istanbul Turkey, on April 9, 2012, they give all the information in the letter, it's not in cairo, maybe some other cases was send to cairo, other's are send in montreal, my cousin also applied but until now she have'nt recieved a call.

hi OsamaR,
Thank you very much, it's a big help, actually I already inquire in AF dubai, the exam in on april 19, since March 22 was close already, but i think I should go for april 5, so that I can show in my interview that I took already the exam and waiting for the result. AF Dubai will give also certificate :D

Dear Friends

Is there any body with whom i can speak french on google talk/yahoo messenger to eliminate my hesitation and increase my pace of french conversatoin. I would welcome anybody who is interested to communicate and I also welcome advice about any forum where I can meet/find french speakers, if that is in Quebec/Montreal will be greate.

I find it an interesting and better method as people on net can correct each other, same things that we write in english can speak in french.

regards

Mazhar

Dear Mazhar,

That is the better way to improve french communication skills, you can add me in gtalk as javeed.islam.

Hi everyone,

When I filled the QSW application I declared level 5 out of 12 for french proficiency. My french experience was 0 at that time and now I am about to finish level 2 at AF.

My concern is what if during the interview I don't convince the interviewer that my french proficiency is up to the level I mentioned in the application, would that be a major concern that might lead to a rejection knowing that I have enough qualifying points to get the CSQ without any points for French?

I am afraid they would have an issue with declaring higher level than my actual french proficiency..

Has anyone come across such thing or heard of someone with similar situation !

Thanks guys

Hello Oussama

There is for sure a problem....that u lied, this is driving them crazy. Why haven't u tell ur real level if ur file could pass with no points ??? Now is late to talk about this, u were not called for an interview yet, u have time, keep learning , level 5 is a B1 beginer, and i am sure u can reach this level till ur interview.Do not worry from now, u will reach the level.

Thanks RICOLUNA for the feedback. Do you know which level at AF is equivalent to B1 ? I mean what level should I reach in order to pass B1 ?
I am currently at level 2 and they say to clear A1 you need to be somewhere around level 3 !! any idea ?

OussamA i am not far from u..i lied too..hahhaa, i mean when i send my application i've declared level 7 which is a B2 in DCS ,and i knew o french.... BUT next day i enrolled in AF and studied hard there, at home, at work, anywhere, i even took private lessons home when we had a 3 weeks vacation from AF....i studied there for almost 1 year, and after i took the test TCF Quebec ( i scored C1/B2)
I remember that u have to take A1.1, A 1.2,A 1.3, A 2.1 and A2.2 to complete level A1/A2.After B1.1, B1.2,b1.3 for B1 level. So in total u'll take 8 levels to reach B1 and here u can have ur exam.Is better to make the exam before the interview, they will be obliged to accord u the points u have on ur diploma.Good luck dear

Oussama i sow now in ur timeline that u have applied end of 2011, this is good, u'll not be called for an interview 1 year from now, so u have enough time more than enough.Remain enrolled in AF and after u finish B1 level take the TCF Quebec.Do not worry is v important that u have time.
Good luck
