Thank you RICOLUNA for your wishes..

I will definitely need your help guys in preparing a complete set of documents :)

hi RICOLUNA and seniors,

I have a question.. Do you guys have any idea if my Quebec visa office is Damascus (which is now Montreal since Damascus office is closed) and I live in UAE, where would the interview take place ? is it always in the nearest Canadian embassy ?

Guys Can you please check this link:

http://www.canadavisa.com/quebec-skilled-worker-processing-times.html

It says 80% of the files and 20 months for Damascus,
Can someone explain the exact meaning of these two number in relation with the time needed to get you federal visa acceptance.
What I have understood is that for last year the max duration in 80% of the cases was 20 months.

I have applied for my Federal Part on 1-11-2010, in 2 weeks it will be one year ago !!
any ideas if the situation in Syria is affecting the process or is it processed outside the Middle East.

Best Regards,
Akram

Now the interviews take place in Istambul, Turkey, and in Cairo for Egyptians only.

Yes Akram the maximum time to obtain ur visa is 20 month, but for sure are cases and cases. My sister in law waited around 13 month after interview, there are person with 17-18-19 months of waiting and still no medical request for them...so it depends. But u are close, i am sure that u'll receive ur medicals soon. No worries about the situation in Syria, i heard they are processing the federal files from Abu Dhabi. Have faith and soon u'll be there!
Regards

i don't think they are processing anything anywhere... the Canadians were evacuated since the clashes and i don't think those arab employees are processing anything, they are just keeping them piled up with dust all over them (figuratively speaking).

it's been 21.5 months for me and i didn't get those meds!!!

Hey everyone,

A quick question: where do they conduct interviews for Damascus BIQ applicants?

I would appreciate answers from everyone.

Thanks!
