I'm an Algerian, B eng electronics, Grade 11,90 /20.
in this thread, I want from people who got admission in colleges to share their experience from getting admitted to visa approval, please friends give us an idea, because there are lot of sudents wishing to pursue a master degree in order to get the PR easilly but don't have the required grade by universities.

I've talked lately someone throgh facebook, he is living in Montreal right now and he study at UQAM (Univeristé de Québec A Montréal), I asked him about admission Electrical engineering programs, he told me it's true as they mentioned in their web site, they require high grades and give them priority. He advised me to apply to "College LaSalle" because the have easy admissions and they help students with the PR after graduation and I didn't find programs in my field there. but after googling I've found lot of colleges offering good programs in Electronics related fields with full time or part time.

I don't mean that I won't try, but as I've read in these College's websites, they don't have high admission requirements right ? and also the tuition fees are low comparing to universities.

But I'm afraid from the visa refusal !!! any one applied and got the visa ?? give me advices please

Some times people not replying to your question doesn't mean they are not helping because they don't have any idea or info. Wait for senior people to reply to your post.

Hello Ambitious, I would recommend to take up a University / college in Quebec and apply at the earliest - We cannot customize international education leading to PR as we like, in soime countries. When you land in Canada and learn / understand the ground situation, it would be different from what you were expecting (no matter which university you are in). Once you understand the rules and the loop holes in the system in approx. 6 months - 9 months, you will be confident enough to take desicions leading to your PR, whether your university assists in it or not.

The most important thing is that you leagally set your foot in Canada. Just check if the college is accredited or not.

If a college degree is of lesser value than a Bachelors degree, then I believe you would have to provide substantial evidence in the Expression of interest (Covering letter along with the application), on why you would want to pursue this degree. one example can be you Bachelors is a general degree like Commerce, but you worked within a niche area within Commerce and wanted to pursue a college degree which gives some more depth in terms of research and knowledge gathering, within the niche area you worked in \and want to specialize in.
If you can provide some more clarity on your application, I can give a few more ideas, althouhg my understanding is only as good as yours. Basically the Expression of interest should be sound and should not leave any gaps, leading to doubts, thats all. Hope this helps.
