I did the online evaluation, and it was showing me as eligible. I include spouse and dependents in the assesment. However, I was checking the points table (English version from immigration.ca website) where it says I need a minimum of 50 points with spouse to qualify and overall 57. My question is I have only 49 points to cutoff the employeability factor, but it needs 50. To your point, I have 47 points before adding spouse, dependents and finance.
Initially, I tried to access your posted link above, but seems like not working here... could you please share it again in this forum? Thanks again!
mgmbbd said:Well first of all the online evaluation is just a primary way to know if you are eligible for the QSW program or not but it is not the ultimate tool to finalize your points. Now you have to calculate your own points and find out if you are eligible or not.
In my last post I didn't ask you to minus your spouse. I asked to minus your language, dependents (child++) and financial stability options. Now if you do not have 50 in that range then you should recheck your points, as it is required. You have to have 50 to overcome first hurdle to get selected for the next hurdle where the point threshold is 57.
I hope things are now clear to you. You can always refer to my previous posts (my initial 2/3 posts) where you'll find a number of documents to guide you with the point table.
All the best.

snickers_21 said:Hello, thanks for creating this thread for 2017 intake. I checked midi website and it says that I am eligible, however I want to manually compute my points. I got a question about my qualification, I am not sure how many points I can claim. There are Post-Secondary, Technical and Undergraduate. I'm into IT field and not sure if I fall on Technical. Any ideas what to do here?
snickers_21 said:Hi mgmbbd, I had BS in Information Technology and my current work is in line with my course which is in IT too. Any idea how many points can I claim for my education? Thanks

snickers_21 said:Thanks @mgmbbd. I surely don't know if I am qualified to apply as I want to manually compute my points but hard to guess the education qualification. For those with similar course like me BS IT, please share your experiences here. Thanks.
mgmbbd said:Both of us are right. 10,000 primary applicants & 51,000 total admits (applicant + family members + other admits). ;D
fahadsheikh said:Ah okay.. so it will still be 10,000 :-X which gets full in like, less than a second :-\
