Please clarify
If a person has five year experience, but can validate it for 2 tears only with proof of pf or tax, then will quebec will give points for 2 year experience only? He does not have proof for 3 years and no exemption certificate also.

Question!

If out of 5 years of experience, i have 2 years as taxable and 3 years as non-taxable. In that case should i need to produce both Exemption Certificate and Proof of Income tax returns, as my salary was tax free for 3 years?

Yes.

(Income tax returns are not accepted as proof of experience. See the document requirements list).

@ Lammawitch: In Pakistan Tax rule is that once we do income tax return itself is assessment, and once we do returns we get official document that shows we have paid income tax. Can i show this as proof of legality of work experience.

Hi guys,

I'm new to QSW and I read in details everything I found on their main site, plus the forum and I am still super confused with diploma recognition.

I have a foreign diploma and I don't understand do I have to send it to some institution in Quebec for recognition or I just submit it as it is?

Sorry, I might be stupid on this, but I really did not find any clear and explicit info for this.

Just as a note, I have WEC because I applied to EE as well (and I know WES doesn't count here). But is there something similar for Quebec or we do nothing?

Thanks,
Helena

I have a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering. Which AOT list I fall into?In Section C,http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/diverses/list-training.pdf there is a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering worth 6 points. My Master Degree(followed by a Bach. in Chemical Engineering) finished less than a year ago, so technically I do not need work experience and apart from some paid internships for 6 months, I do not have any work experience.

Hi Lammawitch,
Thanks a lot for the information.
You said French is not mandatory, I have a question with respesct to that; does not having the French test give you a disadvantage relative to others? say in terms of processing times or preference even if u have enough points? Just asking.......

processing time NO but for points yes, if you have good score in French exam your points are far higher than those without French exam.

Hello all,

Regarding points calculation,
1. After referring the AOT list I see that for Bachelors in IT: 10+16 = 26
2. 8yrs INTL experience in same field = 8
3. Age @29 = 16
4. IELTS (L9, R8, S7, W7) = 6
5. Spouse (10+3yrs diploma): 2+3 = 5 [I need help here, 10th class + 3yrs diploma equivalent will give 5 points?]
6. Spouse Age @30 = 3

Total = 64

Could someone please let me know if the points calculation is correct?

Thanks,
Amy

For quebec, you have to submit attested copy of educational documents only
