QSW, French, and AEO

I'm totally confused now
Aside from my NOC not being on the list anymore (I.T.), I now keep getting contradicting information and thus don't know where to start from

I'm an I.T. professional, graduated from Montreal 10 years ago and now living back home.
As my NOC is not on the list, I can only apply through AEO now

Now the thing is, I want to live in Quebec, but my lawyer says a French test is mandatory to apply for Quebec. I know very very basic french (basic grammer, numbers, some verbs, colors and food!)

My Questions:
1. Is French mandatory or not? If yes, how hard is the french test? What does it cover?
2. For all you QSW applicants, can someone briefly explain the steps? Do I have to wait double the time of FSW applicants because I'm now going through QSW AND PR ?? Can someone give me an approximate time for the whole process? And how on earth is any employer going to wait that long for me?! :(
3. Can someone give me tips as to where to start looking for AEO? or How? Or any help please. (I will have to go through AEO whether as QSW or FSW toronto)

I've been back to my country for 10 years now and I still can't settle and want to return to Canada. It is so unfair that I can't do that even with my Canadian degree.

Your help is much appreciated

1. french is not mandatory while applying, but once applied you should show some proficiency during interview that you are really interested in residing in Quebec.
2. FSW and QSW are approximate of same time, and with AEO it becomes faster.
3. For AEO, i dont know about much, what i can suggest is that u search some employer websites, or job employment sites. they might help u.

as u have lived in Montreal and u have also got Canadian degree plus little knowledge of french, i think this will help u a lot. don't worry and just apply with confidence.

Thanks alot for your reply and encouragement
I just emailed Immigration Quebec to make sure about the French test as my attorney (and his partner in toronto) are both insisting that it is required for CSQ

Hello Gipsy..

As Angel has already provided you with all the details..One suggestion since you have very strong point (Montreal degree).. you will definately get ample points even without french... so try to enroll in a french course and then learn it..in the mean while send your application along with enrollment slip.

That will help you a lot...!!
