QSW 2014 Notification for opened dossier

Hello everybody I started this feed to share experiences about any news of anyone regarding QSW 2014, if you sent your file for QSW on 2014 and you received any news please share. Four friends of mine got the following times: all of them belong to BIQ Mexico.

1st case:
File sent: July 7th
File received (DHL Tracking): July 10th
Notification of opened Dossier: September 24th +

2nd case:

File sent: July 8th
File received (DHL Tracking): July 10th
Notification of opened Dossier: September 24th

3rd case:

File sent: July 13th
File received (DHL Tracking): July 16th
Notification of opened Dossier: September 30th

4th case:

File sent: August 8th
File received: August 11th
Notification of opened dossier: NONE FILE WAS RETURNED, On sep 4th they informed him that his file did not reach one of the 6500 places and will be returned

HI! Did they inform your friend when the cap was totally reached? my file was sent and received on Aug 8, 2014.. No update since then. We tried to call MICC but told us to wait for a letter..either return or AOR..

They informed him that capped was reached on August 11th as announced on the website but unfortunately his application reached on August 11th therefore it was returned. I don´t know anyone yet who got AOR and file was sent between July 30th and August 10th including mine that arrived on August 6th. No news yet, I guess we still have to wait. Whenever I get news of return or AOR I will share. Plz share any news you have too. :

I sent my documents on August 2nd and my documents arrived on August 6th, although in Quebec immigration Website they announced the cap limit reached on august 11th, apparently they closed it before that day. Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting. Sad As for me I will have everything to send next year as fast as possible and as soon as they announce.

Hi! that must be very sad to hear, and frustrating, too! I sent mine 2 days after yours. So, I have to wait for my application to be returned? What is your AOT? single? married?

I can´t tell you if your application will be returned or not. I really don´t know how they handle their documentation. I think that depends on each Visa Office mine was from Biq Mexico but as for me I got documentation returned I hope you have better luck.

MI AOT is Restaurant Management or Food and Beverage Management it awards me 6 points. Ielts: 7.5 TEFAQ B1 - C1. Married. Better luck for you. Next year I will have to see express Entry rules or try again Québec depending on the rules.

I am from Philippines with the consultancy based in Montreal so our application was personally submitted in MICC. Did your application reach Quebec? And according to the consultant, our file was not returned yet though they have already received other applications around our date of application.

I do not know if what will happen to me if they returned our file... Best of luck to us!

I don´t know if they will change the rules next year but you can check as a reference for this year: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/divers/Grille-synthese.pdf Also depending on your career it may change the points awarded.

I can give you an approximate, but it may vary:

1. Education: Masters (12 points)
2. Area of training: It´s tricky for you but it may be 6 points (Computer network or computer science) I can´t find on the list exactly computer network technician but it may fit with one of those depending on your job tasks, what seems pretty much close is computer network.
3. Work experience: More than 48 months = 8 points. In this part is important that your work experience will be supported by job certificates stating dates worked and tasks performed and social security or income tax documentation.
4. Age 36: 14 points (age 37 = 12 points) that depends when is your b-day next year
5. French: 0 points
6. Ielts: 4 points

Spouse:
1. Education: Masters 3 points
2. age: 3 points
3. French= 0 points

Self suffincient funds: 1 point

Total points 51 points with AOT as computer network (6 points) & age 36 (If by next year you are 37 deduct 2 points. )

With this you may not qualify you need at least 57 points in preliminary stage to access to an interview as a couple. And after interview if you get points for adaptability it may be up to 6 points, at this stage you need 63 points minimum to get a CSQ otherwise you will be refused.

As I always say this is an estimate because VO has final word, also next year it may change points in your AOT could be for better or worse. My advice is to learn french ASAP you may get up to 16 points for you and up to 6 more points for your wife in that case you dont even need interview and you may be able to obtain a CSQ without interview.
Also children award you points. 4 points for children 12 and under and 2 points for children from 13 to 18 years old.

Hope this info helps, if ypu want to go to Quebec start learning french, remember that the interview is in french most of times and we will have to be ready for upcoming news nest year around march and april.
