CSQ without AOR? Why not? All things are possible!!!!

Well, be patient. The hard part is to be able to ascertain that your file is receiving attention; not just gathering dust in a corner of their drawer, and then receiving notification of missing documents, having the file returned after 31st July when nothing is really certain anymore.

I agree, the long wait is agonizing...I know first hand how it feels.
hopefully we will get a good response this month. As for me, i'll start getting worried when i go past the six-month mark without AOR.
Until then, all we can do is wait, and then wait..... ???

I hope you guys will both receive CSQ with no AOR. This atmosphere of waiting is kind of like playing a roulette in the casino :) once you made a bet nothing depends on yourself and you just sit and wait. Imagine that one day you receive a CSQ in a mailbox unexpectedly. Jackpot! ;D

Hi Brothers and sisters: I am already in canada as permanent resident got immigrant visa as federal skilled worker on 11 sep 2012. I have only one question regarding quebec immigration one of my friend wants to apply for quebec immigration i just want to ask on his behalf that is it mandatory to have knowledge of french language to apply for immigration quebec immigration as my friend have IELTS report but neither he has french diploma nor he can communicate in this language.

Thanks

Thanks for the encouragement..... I like your analogy. Playing a roulette is one thing, When something goes wrong, you either place another bet or leave the casino to come back another day.
But this CSQ business is another matter entirely, and I'm doing a good job waiting........

Let him go online and evaluate himself without french and see if he qualifies. You can as well post his profile here so we help you evaluate and give the exact points.

French is required but not necessarily at the point of application. If his points meet the minimum required, then he can submit, but he MUST study french and send the best results he has, to update his file once it has been opened. This will give high chances of getting an interview waiver, or a successful interview.

I bet you a Quebec IO will not grant you CSQ without at least the poorest French results.

We keep in touch

Stylove,

Have you ever heard of a case where the applicant had the required number of points(55 for single applicant, and 63 with spouse) and was refused ONLY on the basis of french proficiency?

Absolutely. If you are asked to assist an adaptability interview, if the officer feels your French is not good enough for you to successfully adapt in Quebec he can deny you the required adaptability points. So even if he gives you all the French language points you marked in your application (which could potentially be none), if you don't get the necessary adaptability points, you will definitely fall short. So in some ways you can say that French is double counted in the application, because your level of French is most definitely going to be counted by the IO as part of the adaptability score.

Best case scenario you are given 6-12 months to improve your French, worst case scenario your application is denied. Please don't take this lightly, I know many people whose applications have been outright rejected during the selection interview.

Yes of course, but only at Interview level. If you reach the minimum cut off points without French, your application will be accepted, and processed. But to receive the CSQ in your hands, with or without interview, I bet you French scores at tat level, no matter the score, are MANDATORY. That is the bitter truth.

If you get lucky, you will be given some time to submit the French results. But if your IO had his family probs that day, you might be rejected.

So YOU ARE ADVISED TO STUDY FRENCH AND UPDATE YOUR FILES EVEN IF YOU MEET THE MINIMUM CUT OFF POINTS.

Now a days, without French in French province, it is very difficult to get a visa. Earlier there were cases but now, Government is very strict, C'est La Parti Quebecois. If your area of study has 16/12 points then you might (50:50) have a chance to get an immigration without French but if you have 6 points then they wont bother to pick your file quickly and now a days BIQ is taking a lot of time process files. I would suggest you If you have enough points with English and you don't need French points then you apply before 31st July 2013 as after this date new rules will be in place for Quebec and more stricter language rules I guess. So you apply now if you have max points, i mean if single then 55 and if with family then 63 and start learning French so even if they call you for interview, you can show them that you know La Langue.

Mon ami rohitchaudhary1976, tu as bien parler. Ca c'est la verite. On doit apprendre le Francais. C'est obligatoire pour bien s'integrer dans la vie quotidienne Quebecoise.

One question for you: Do you think or suggest RNs might still be given a chance to apply after July 31st? I have a friend who intends to apply with his wife and Kid but the gov't is delaying to issue their passports so I'm pretty sure he can't meet the deadline of July 31st. Any ideas since we share the same profession?

Or from anyone else? I just need to satisfy his curiosity!!

Je vs souhaite une merveilleuse Dimanche! Que Dieu ns bennisse!!! Hahahaha my poor french!!

Yes Rjoyce you are welcome to the crew. You have to wait 4-6months before getting worried. There's still a long way to go. What's your AOT? and where are you applying from?

Thnx Stylove, :D what is AOT? Since Im new with my application I still have to be familiar with some acronyms used here.. ;D i am applying from Cebu, Philippines. thnx for your reply. Ok so i have to wait for 4-6 months before receiving my AOR? ( i don't know what acronym means either, as of this time, i just read it earlier while skimming some posts) but maybe as i go along through this topic, i know i will learn a lot. ;) im just worried with my french literacy since i cannot attend french classes til october of this year. would that be ok if i enroll french only by october? thank you.
