Is there anyone here who applied after Aug 1st and has received AOR? Did they mention anything about new timelines?

NURSES ARE PRIOTITY YES. But by TOP priority, do you mean an interview waiver? If yes, then NOT ALL NURSES ARE TOP PRIORITY. Tell us about your French competences and whether you sent in your french test scores and what were they...with that, we might suggest if you a a nurse might be treated as TOP PRIORITY or not.

As per new rules if you wanna claim any points for French language, regardless of whether you are the PA or the accompanying spouse you must have a minimum of B2 !!

To all those who still have some doubts about new rules and applicability.....This page was updated on the 08/10/2013 and I'm pretty sure some folks haven't seen it yet.......it further clarifies your doubts!!

Hi Stylove

Tons of Thanks for your reply !

I haven't submitted my French score along with my application. But now thinking to start learning french. Without French language score i have gained 69 points. Still do we need to appear for the French Test? Or will get a waiver.

If we need french, both of us should learn or only primary applicant required.

Please reply. Thanks in advance.

Jacob,
I would say YES. You as the PA have to appear for a French test to add more value to your prestigious Nursing File. You might or might not be given a waiver with the 69 points without French. From my opinion, you might have a 20% chance for a waiver and an 80% chance to be called up for interview. As nurses, you and your spouse shall be treated as priority, yes. But not all priority files get an interview waiver. Instead, you gonna be called for an interview pretty faster like say 9 months to 1 year, than other files with AOTs that don't fetch 12 or 16 points.

You yourself can learn the French at an agency, and teach your spouse basic French at home because don't be surprised you are called for an interview and the VO asks your spouse where she lives and works, in French language.

The watchword for you: Forwarned is Forearmed!!

Everything above is barely my own view and opinion....Not the standard!!!

Hope it helped anyways!!
