Qorax,

My SELDEC is still 0. Though PSDEC is 1. I guess you are right IMM 1017s requested is not the same as IMM 1017s sent. "Request" might just mean an internal request by CIC to prepare for the medical forms so it is available as soon as it is needed, but it does not necessarily mean that it was sent. My PSDEC date is 31-07-2009 and IMM 1017s requested is 08-07-2009. It is impossible that medical forms will be sent before the PSDEC right? But what made me sad is the BFD. It is set on March 25, 2009. Is it OK if I send them an e mail to ask if the BFD encoded in the CAIPS is incorrect? Reply will be appreciated. Thanks...

My take would be... w/out mentioning about the BF'D r anything, just send them an email requesting for a 'case progress update'. And ask when could your expect your meds.

I have a consultant, Shall I ask my consultant to do it for me or I will just do it myself? Will it be a problem if I will send an enquiry in parallel to the enquiry that will be made by my consultant? Thank you very much for ur reply.

If u have a consultant, what is he advising u?

They are close today. They'll be available on Saturday, Actually they are in Sharjah, UAE.

Call on his/her mobile...
And didn't they get u the CAIPS Notes?

I was the one who ordered CAIPS.

I have something in mind to indirectly remind CIC of the BFD error. What if I will send them the RPRF now? Is it OK? Please advise.

Uhh Icom???

Plz feel free to 'directly' write to CHC. We don't need to go via our agents. However, put a Cc to him as well, just to keep him/her in the loop.

1. And send the email, as I wrote to u before.
2. Yes, if u send the RPRF now, it'll do u good.

Regards,
Qorax.

Ps: Why did u order the CAIPS yourself? Thru the agent would have save u some money. I asked mine to get it for me, twice. Didn't cost me a dime.

there is absolutely no advantage in sending rprf without any request...and be patient, ur backgrounds checks are going on...as u said seldec 0 is there which means selection decision has not been done yet...so i don't think they will issue medicals before that bcoz they hve to finalise if an interview is required or not..i think the best option is what qorax has adviced..send them a status update email asking when can u expect medicals...once again i will advice u not to worry abt bfd..if processing stops in near future then u can talk abt bfd to chc anytime...this is their internal matter..no need to discuss with them abt their job (timelines)

Yes Qorax, I am icom in the other forum. I did suggest to them before to order CAIPS, but they always tell me not to worry, its too early to ask for it blah, blah, blah...so I decided to order it myself.

Thank you for your suggestions...

If my bfd is on March 25, 2011, does it mean I wont be expecting my medical request before this date? Please reply.

Brother,

I'm with WW1CS. My package includes everything. Payable in 4 instalments, the last instl paid after we got our visa/s.

They never asked any other money in between the entire processing. All couriers, photocopies, notarizations, CAIPS [2wice], anything at all, was done 'directly' by their end. Are u sure other consultants ask money for the CAIPS?

I'm landing on 10/3/2010, the consultants have booked their guest-house for a month at Toronto. This time they have a charge, which I'm paying separately. This offer they had informed me in the initial stages itself & advised me that it was 'optional'. But I chose it as I found that it was cost-effective.

Thanx & regards,
Qorax.

Most probably "u will".
That BF date is only a mistake [as per me]. And u'll get your usual timeline much before that, might be that u land as well -much, much earlier.

All the best -Aspire/Icom !!!
