Qn about Police Certificate

I am unable to find the .pdf file that contained the letter I need to produce to local law enforcment agencies to obtain the police certificate. Most states in the US ask for a letter, which was actually published in one of these PDFs by the CIC. Its like a page of text where the CIC requests the law enforcement agency to release criminal record information. I used to find it last week. I am unable to find it now...

Can somebody help me !!

Thanks KayCee... But ... I was looking for this letter from CIC (it was in some PDF link) that requests a police criminal record .. It was like a whomever-it-may-concern type of a letter which one can produce to any law enforcement agency to get fingerprinted/use for requesting criminal record.

What about police certificate from Pakistan. My problem is that I did study in Pakistan, am not a Pakistani citizen, and I can not go to Pakistan to get the certificate. I do not know or have relation with people in Pakistan. The university that I studied said this is non of our business and the Pakistan embassy say non of our business, and I am and too many people lost in between.

Is there any link or way to apply for this police certificate from outside Pakistan? Can somebody suggest something please?

You should contact the Pakistani Embassy in DC and ask them to issue a "no-criminal-history in Pakistan" kind of a certificate.

Many thanks for your reply. What is DC ? I asked them a police certificate and they said do it by your self in your way as they will never ever deal with it.

You can contact with the Pakistani consulate at LA. They handle the issuance of the police certificate. Please find the detail at the below link:

But they can only accept the application, if you live within their jurisdiction. Otherwise they will refuse you.

I want a police clearance for applying to immigiration for canada. I have left iran two years wgo, never went back. I got a police clearnace when leaving there. Do I still need to get another one?
I should send my shenasname to Iran embasy to get a polioce clearance. I dont have my shenasname (ID card) with me now here. Can I send the formal translation of it?
