I created this thread because no one here to guide in Qatar!!, So we help each other here to apply Visit visa in Qatar to CANADA !!!

I got two messages after submitting the file online, after one day got a message that application updated but nothing is there which i can see in online for status change !!

Waiting something from them !!

Today Decision made on my application !! and requested my passport !!

I am planning to share my hole process here which might be helpful to the people who further submit TRV to Canada !!

Submission type: Online

Sponsor Documents
Invitation letter(Most Important)
-Request letter to CIC to allow me to visit canada & Number of days i am staying, expenses born by me, days i visit etc.
4 moths pay stubs
-Present company pay stubs
Identification proof
Citizenship card

Sponsored person(Applicant)
Employment letter
-Employment letter from present employer on letter head
Approved leave copy
-Approved leave copy letter on letter head
Proof of funds (10,000 CAD)
-Bank statement for 4 months, any bank any currency must be equivalent to 10,000 CAD
Travel history
-Show if you have any Travel history like you traveled to other country for any purpose of trip/short trip
Relationship proof
-Relationship proof like- Marriage certificate, etc.
Travel itinerary
-Proposed travel ticket, Departure ticket must be show
Purpose of travel
-why you want to visit, what your going to do, where you want go- show them if you book any trips ,hotel etc.

After Submission, response from CIC
On 2nd of August Submitted Application through Online and received two messages
1) Confirmation of Online Application transmission
2) Submission confirmation with application number- you can see this in MyCIC account and the same notified to you by email.
After four days
-Decision made on the application and requested my passport for stamping

hello CVIF123, im new to this forum type of discussion.. iv seen that u applied for a visit visa using the online method..and it looks like u got the request for ur passport. My question is as far as the requirements needed, did u just provide the documents that was shown after doing the online assessment? or did u add additional documents that were not listed? Please Can you share few tips (i.e: how was the tie in departure & host country ? how was travel history ? how much shown on Bank statement ? etc ) which will help for us.

I provided documents which they request during online assessment and also included like approved leave copy, Purpose of stay - what i am going to do in Canada, what locations i am going to visit, if you book any hotel or any trip in Canada- you can show here-in my case i just told them i am visiting my sponsor

how was the tie in departure & host country ? how was travel history ? how much shown on Bank statement ? etc ) which will help for us.

-i showed my present employer letter and approved leave copy - that is my tie up saying that i will back to my work
-i showed here 10,000 CAD and 6 months bank statement
-Travel history- i have too many trips to my home country to visit my family i showed them here, if you don't have one then you need to show strong tie up's to your home country like- property, bank loan, letter from your parents that you will back after your visit.

That really helps me alot, to be honest im only a foreign worker(Filipino) here in Qatar, and Im in the process of gathering all my documents to be submitted online. Im waiting for the invitation from my cousin in Canada. But my questions are:

1. For the invitation letter, is it best to have a hard copy of the letter before sending the online application or just having a scan pdf file of the letter then send the online application?
2. For the Travel itinerary, did u buy a ticket or did u give an optional date on when ul be traveling?, my cousin is suggesting that i also purchase travel insurance.
3. For the Relationship proof, its my cousin that is inviting me, so her birth certificate and my birth certificate would be enough?

I dont have a bank acct here in Qatar, my salary is given by hand.

Scanned PDF copy of invitation letter need to be uploaded by you during online submission.If you have Hard copy then scan it and upload to online.

I didn't buy any ticket or insurance, i just gave them date of departure from Canada by showing my itinerary, But it would be good if you have confirmed return ticket, all cases will not be the same decision by VO, in your case, if you go first time to Canada then better to have confirmed return ticket.

yeah it would be good, if it is showing common name parent between you too would be more good in your case.

I dont have a bank acct here in Qatar, my salary is given by hand.

You can submit your home country bank statement showing 10,000 CAD & 4 months bank statement, It would be more good if you submit the receipt of the payment which you receive by hand.

i was wondering:
1. Regarding the IMM5257 and IMM5645 forms, your application was done online so how were you able to sign the forms? was it done during your submission online or did you print it then sign it then scanned and uploaded into your acct in myCIC?
2. Your Digital photo, was it like a file made into the specification on the checklist or did you have it printed then you signed on the back of the photo then scanned and uploaded into your myCIC acct?
3. Travel history can just be scanned pdf files, with or without signatures?
4. Your Certificate of Employment, was it like the NOC or is it different?
5. The online payment, does need to be a credit card or can it be like the debit card that the salary usually comes into which has the visa logo?

I didn't sign any forms, moreover you don't need to sign the forms when you submit online, you will be prompted for electronic sign at your end of submission of your application.

I took a picture as per the specifications and uploaded, i didn't sign on it.... take your picture and crop according to the specifications and upload it.

yes just scanned files and i didn't sign on it.

it's employment letter, just working with XX compnay from XXX date.

5. The online payment, does need to be a credit card or can it be like the debit card that the salary usually comes into which has the visa logo

you can pay with your debit card too.i did with debit card..debit card with visa logo can be accepted.

BTW CVIF123, when ur passport was requested how did u send ur passport? was it like thru DHL and how much? or was it thru the VAC office in Doha?
