What if the purpose of visit in the invitation letter has passed the date ,for what the applicant is coming to Canada and the visitor file is still under process in CIC,
Will the case be rejected because the purpose of visit to come Canada is no longer valid.

The short answer: No

Fortunately, decisions don't depend on whether or not the event/purpose of visit is over/no longer exists. That said, it's always a good idea to indicate a broader purpose of visit instead of stating an event which is for just one/couple of days

Going by your timeline, you could send a web form to the relevant visa office to request for an early decision. BTW what does the Background Check status say?

Congrats. Do check your online account for the passport request letter. It could take even 24-48 hours for it to appear in your account
