Pune University GPA Calculation

Hello Friends,

Is anyone from Pune University, India planning for Masters in Canada.
I would like to have guidance from seniors/experts in GPA calculation as scoring methodology in Pune University is quite challenging for scoring so I believe there's a different method for GPA calculation.

I have seen some posts in forum specifying their incorrect GPA calculation was the reason for rejection for Pune University Candidate.

Would really appreciate if seniors/experts could guide me in this.

I believe there might be quite many students from Pune University who are already pursuing masters in canada.

You dnt need conversion. If it is compulsary go for WES.

Yes thanks for your inputs. I will prefer going with percentage if its acceptable.. As the WES approach doesn't provide correct results as it has different passing criterias which doesn't match with Pune University.

Scoring in Pune University is quite tough compared to other Universities in India.. Even an aggregate of 55-60% is equal to 70-75 % as compared to other universities. How can I prove this while sending my Application to Universities ?

University Topper usually has 70 % in Pune University ?

How can I prove this or justify this in my Application to Universities of Canada for Admission Process ?

It would be very helpful if someone could help regarding this ?

hi friend

i am from pune unversity. we cannot do any thing in this regards. other unversity guys scores tons of marks. even i have seen one guy scoring 89% from punjab university.but in our case our university doesn't give away any percentage to students.

Yes..true...but how to justify this in application or SOP...or do u know someone who has recieved an admit at this score...I just want to know is it really worth trying at this aggregate %
