PRTD - Validity period

Hi,
Currently I am based in Delhi and want to apply for a PRTD.
Can anybody give me an idea about how much validity I may request for issue of PRTD VISA!!
Actually I am planning to leave by mid of August. Can I apply now and request them to issue me the VISA till 30th August!!
I want to leave as early as possible but due to some unavoidable circumstances I am not able to finalise my dates.
Please help.

A PRTD is valid for 30 days from the date of its issuance. It cannot be extended nor can it be used for multiple entry to Canada. You must arrive in Canada on or before the expiry period. If your PRTD was not used within the validity period and you still would like to travel to Canada, you must submit a new application for a PRTD.

Really thanks for the information.
In my case, as I mentioned that I am willing to go as early as possible, but due to some unavoidable circumstances, it is little bit delayed.
Is there any chance, that I may request for a PRTD with a 2 months validity!
Please help.

Hi,
I am trying to apply a PRTD from Singapore office. When I filled up the form it does not come with Bar code.
But singapore high commission office website says that it will come with bar code

Can anybody help please as this is very urgent.
Another one is how long is the validity of PRTD once issued? For singapore office it takes 14 working days
to issue.

I applied for a PRTD for my minor son in NYC and it was valid for 5 months July to Dec 31, 2018.
