I am 17.5 years old. when i applied for the prtd it said a guardian has to sign it if i am under 16. On this website it says under 18. so i don't know what to do. I applied it and my dad didn't sign.
The form, however, states that a parent must sign only if the person is under 14.Applicants who are less than 14 years of age:
The application must be signed by one of the applicant’s parents or legal guardian(s).
Applicants who are 14 years of age or more but less than 18 years of age:
The application must be signed by the applicant and one of the applicant’s parents or legal guardian.
You are the one with the permanent residency status, not your parents. That means you have status, by right. You should be fine. All individuals, regardless of age, must complete their own application form. Parents or guardians must complete and sign application forms for children under the age of 14.
There is a possibility it will be rejected, though I suspect it will not. I do have two questions for you:James John said:My parents didn't sign anything, i was a bit worried because many people said that my dad had to sign. Thank you for reassuring me
Was the application already sent?James John said:2) Yes I can but I forgot to. Yet in the documents I attached a paper about my dads Job, and I attached a bank statement. Can they be used as a proof?
Yep. I quoted it earlier. It's going to depend on the agent. The form itself says it's only required if you are under 14.James John said:On CIC website this is written Applicants who are 14 years of age or more but less than 18 years of age: The application must be signed by the applicant and one of the applicant’s parents or legal guardian.
