What is timeline and turnaround of when you have submitted passport to VAC to when you received passport back with PRTD?

What is timeline and turnaround of when you have submitted passport to VAC to when you received passport back with PRTD?

Doubt that this can be made more specific than the general for how long it takes when submitting anywhere really - one to three weeks, probably a bit faster than that i.e. timeframe for most PR apps because the prtd is a physical visa stamped in the passport. Will also vary somewhat depending on location (same city as a larger embassy with an immigraiton section faster).

Thanks - I really hope it doesn’t take 3 weeks as I’m travelling in 3 weeks. But I do understand my passport will need to go from Melbourne VFS to Sydney consulate.

My guess is you'll have it back with a week to spare. Pure guess though

Turnaround was 6 business days from VFS to IRCC to collection.
