Hello Guys!
Kindly guide me that I have obtained my Travel Document fro Canada with expiry date of April 2017. However, I have also manged to get my PR card through a friend coming to Pakistan. I want to know that is it necessary for me to travel through Travel Document visa or can I go using my PR Card even after expiry of travel document? I don't want to go in April and may plan for any other month ahead. Kindly feedback me as I need to arrange some personal things..thanks a lot... cheers..

Visa application, tracking ID .....Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office, ISLAMABAD on ..... To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.

Hey guys,
I recently completed my landing and returned back to Pakistan without the PR card. I wanted to apply for a PRTD. However, after reading your cases here, I really feel reluctant to apply since they take so much time. Are you all recently landed immigrants?
Should I get a ticket and attach it to my application to expedite the application or that won’t help?

There is no guarantee they will meet the deadline even if you attach the ticket. You had other options but now that you have returned without a pr card and I'm guessing you haven't made arrangements for someone to send you your PR card you don't have many other options than flying into the US and getting into Canada by land.

I did make an arrangement with one of my friend to send the PR cards but unfortunately the PRC mail was returned (I'm assuming it since PRC was approved on Feb 12 and address is in Edmonton).Friend's address was missing the unit number. So I'm debating whether to wait for the 6 weeks time to lapse and fill out a solemn declaration form or apply for a PRTD from Pakistan.

Can a friend or relative carry Pr card for you ?

if you manage to pick up pr carrd with friend it would be best,
other wise for Prtd it would take 8 weeks min,m not sure for the new immigrants

I came to Pakistan like 3 months ago.Unfortunately i lost all my documents except my Pakistani passport and I am a permanent resident in Canada so I applied for PRTD and i got message in my email that my file has reached Abu Dhabi which was missing my SIN card number my landing papers information and my PR card because I lost them and unable to obtain them back but i wrote a letter with my file explaining all this .Do I still get the travel documents to travel back?I can get this stuff from Service Ontario anyways plz help me

hi nimra please update with your travel document as i want to know how much time it will take for lost documents, did you have valid pr card?
