PRTD application

Hello,
I filed my PRTD on Feb 22nd 2022.
then I realized I forgot to attach the pages of every page in my Passport so did that on 1st March 2022.
I received confirmation of receipt both the times. I am still waiting for passport request but didn’t get any mail. How long I need to wait , if anyone has any idea. Thanks

A lot of it depends on the location of the VAC; depending on where you applied, it could be a long wait. No real way to know for sure how long it will take.

I applied from India. I have shown my emergency situation like my 7 month old son has medical appointments and I have business related issues, so you think still it can take lot longer? It’s been 5 weeks and maximum they say it can take upto 8 weeks.

Member of parliament. Canada. You're a resident who is trying to return to Canada urgently and getting the PRTD is taking time.

Having a medical appointment is not a good reason if is a just a routine appointment. Assume your child doesn’t have serious medical issues if you travelled to India. Unfortunately traveling without your PR card is always risky so needing to return to your business is likely not a reason to expedite your application. You should be close to approval as long as you still meet your RO plus a buffer.
