Proving work history for Defunct Company

Hi guys,

I'm a long-time lurker and have really appreciated everyone's experience and expertise on here!

I only have a few years of work experience (I've been a stay-at-home mom for 8 years) but it was as a teacher at a school that apparently just closed its doors last September. We are in the pool at 411 points so I'm trying to prepare in case it gets down to us. Does anybody have experience proving work at a now-defunct business? Would love advice! Thank you.

If you can get a letter from a former principal or colleague, and provide the documentation of the school closure, that should be OK. As well, if you have tax documents, old contracts, etc. you should provide them as well.

Awesome. I am still in touch with several people. Would that make sense to include letters from several former colleagues and a principal or two?

I wouldn't overdo it - a former principal and one other colleague should be more than enough.
