Provincial Nominee in Alberta - Family Stream Class

I was nominated by the province of Alberta in Canada as provincial nominee under family stream class. I submitted my visa application
to NS last Jul.16, 2012. Can anyone tell me how long will I wait for my medical instruction to be mailed out to me and once I'm done with my medical (if there's no problem or concern) , how long will it take me to received my visa?? thanks..

usually it takes 2-3 months to receive communication back from NS
the visa timeline will depend on how much time your local visa office is taking to process should all go well

when did you apply to ainp? it will help to estimate which year/month ainp is processing now
could you kindly share after how many weeks/month from the additional information request did you receive nomination from ainp?

Applied for AINP under Family stream = May 2010
Received Nomination = June 2012

could you kindly share which month/year you got "additonal information request letter" from ainp before you actually received the nomination?
i am trying to estimate how much time ainp takes to issue nomination once the additional information request letter is received from ainp

Make sure you have sent you bank statement for 6 months and a settlement plan.... if not (like me) you will be requested to send these docs....

since you have got your nomination from ainp could you please advise on the below:

1) after how many months/weeks you got your nomination after the "additonal information request letter" from ainp

2) why they want settlement plan now?
since settlement plan was a requirement only if you applied to ainp on or after sept 2009 (new ainp family stream rules)
as you have your nomination you must have applied long before sept 2009

Thanks for your post, I just want to know who requested the bank statement for 6 months and settlement plan? Is it the CIO?
How come those documents are not included in the document checklist?

I applied for AINP : september 2008
I got request for additional docs: 3rd October 2011
I submitted my docs : 17th December 2011
I got nomination Letter : 8th January 2012

I have heard they ask for bank statement and settlement plan for pakistani applicants only....

I was requested by the Visa office London . . . thats really nonsense as it was not in checklist anywhere... But as i am a family stream applicant so may be they want to know how i will settle down there

Request for Additional Information (3X) ------------ Mar. 2010
----------- Jan. 2011
----------- Mar. 2012
Received Nomination ------------------------------ Apr. 2012
Sent completed application to CIO,NS -------------- Jul. 2012

so i assume that once the additonal document request is received (and submitted) it takes approximately 1-2 months to get the nomination, if all goes well.
