Hi, is there anyone here who applied an open work permit to their dependents outside Canada, how was the process? because our PR application is now on 20th month and the security verification is not yet initiated, I am thinking to apply her an open work permit to be able to be with her, while waiting for our PR here in Canada.

I applied for my wife 2 times and they rejected the application. 1 time the reason was that you will not leave canada and the next time the officer did not find marriage legit. Although she is approved as a dependent in PR application
I am sorry to hear that, I usually saw that kind of reason "( was that you will not leave canada)" -in TRV (visitor visa) , so also in OWP they have that reason... did you re-apply?
Yes i did the application was processed in some other county and the office refused with the reason that the marriage does not look legit
Same here. Spouse's WP refused twice in last 2 years. They wait until less that 6 months left in expiring the Canadian worker's WP and refuse saying that your spouse's WP is valid for less than 6 months therefore we are refusing your application.
