hi guys, I am a provincial nominee and currently waiting patiently for my permanent residency. My temporary work permit will expire next month. I need to extend or renew my work permit to legally work in canada. My question is, what are the documents to be submitted since I am already a Provincial nominee?

Submit a copy of your nomination certificate with a letter from your employer verifying that you are still employed with them and a copy of the original job offer. Also, because people take things quite literally, submit everything else they request on the checklist or online, i.e. copy of passport, current WP, etc.

Thank you so very much for the reply. I have gathered those mentioned documents except the letter from my employer which I need further clarification. Would it be sufficient if I just get a letter indicating I am still employed with my current employer or would it be better if my employer would issue a new job offer indicating all the terms and conditions and duration of the work?

Also, upon application of a new work permit, would CIC issue an OPEN Work Permit or the same conditions as my previous WP?

Thank you for taking time to answer my question.

Not a new job offer letter. Just a letter confirming you are still employed. WP will have same conditions as previous permit. You are not eligible for an open work permit.
