Dear All,

Please provide input for the following,

I am AINP nominated and is planning to settle down in ON. As I tried my luck to have any job in Alberta but all in vain, so looking forward to avail this opportunity in ONTARIO as a company is offering me a good job.

Please advice, after completing three years at the time of aplying for Citizenship, will it create any issues or it is OK to live in ON and to complete 1000 days as per procedure.

Thanks in advance

In case somebody comes back to you in a year and tells you that they want to know what you did to settle in AB, keep in mind that you might have to answer the following questions:

Was it your intention when you applied under AINP that you were going to settle in AB?
Was it also your intention when you landed?
How long did you live in AB and try to find work?
What did you do to find work?
Do you have any documentation of your job search, jobs you applied for, refusals etc.?
Did you move to Ontario because you found a job there?
Do you have relatives/friends in Ontario?

I am not saying that somebody will come and ask you those questions because it might never happen but in case they do, you have to keep in mind that if they are not satisfied that you made a real attempt at finding a job in AB, you stayed in AB for a fairly short time and you ended up moving to Ontario without having a job offer there but having relatives or friends there, they might conclude that this was your plan all along in which case you misrepresented yourself at the time of landing and that means that you were bad and they can revoke your PR and send you home. If that were to happen, you could probably appeal it and you might even win because they can't really prove your intentions at the time but it would be a heck of a headache to go through.

I am not saying that you can't ever move. You just have to cover all your bases.

Document your job search and if you want to move to ON, also look for jobs in ON. You can make a short trip there to interview.

If you have a documented job search in AB for at least 3, better 6 months and you move to Ontario for a job, preferably a good one, nobody can really blame you for leaving.
