Hi,
In our country we have provident funds and citizen investment trust for anyone who has job. These funds can be liquidated as soon as I resign or switch companies. can we show the statement of provident funds and citizen investment trust as a proof of funds. Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Seniors please help on this one. Actually citizen investment trust and provident funds are like a bank account. the only difference is that a certain percentage of salary is deposited on a monthly basis. So, is it permissible to show the statements of CIT and PF as a source of funds. Also, this statements are not in English, do i need to translate them.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nitroxn,

You will need to check this with your visa office but i have heard that they do accept these funds as you are able to get all these funds when you resign and can take it with you to Canada. Yes you will need to translate them into english or french if they are not in English/French.

Cheers

Hi,

I am from Colombo and inquired from CHC - colombo before submitting and they said EPF slips are accepted as POF and that's what I submitted as POF.

I suggest you , inquire this from your CHC.

I hope this should work.

Wish you luck
