Hi,

I've come to know that provident fund is actually acceptable as a proof of funds. I want to know what documents do I need in order to fulfill the requirement?

Also, if someone has used a EPF or PF certificate, it will be great help if I could get a sample of that certificate.

Thanks

Yes, your information is correct. As a matter of fact, it worked in my case.

The good thing is that it's a very simple process, you simply need to ask your employer to issue a provident fund certificate on an official letterhead of the company. Just make sure of the following:

  • your name is the same as in other documents
  • your current designation
  • your status as a full-time/part-time employee
  • time since you've been working with your employer
  • your current PF balance
  • as mentioned earlier: printed on the official letterhead with company contact information and signatures of the relevant official
  • most important: a statement confirming that this fund can be withdrawn at any time upon the employee's request or in case of his resignation.
I also submitted my bank account balance certificate as well, not the detailed statement as is required otherwise, just the account balance certificate.

All the best!

Hi folks,

I have a provident fund that can be withdrawn just when I leave the company due resignation or by my decision.
Can my case be considered as proof of funding?

Thank you!

UPDATE:
First hand report. I successfully got my PR in January 2019 using India EPFO statement as Proof of fund. Keep in mind that in my case I got a letter from the PF commissioner that the funds belong to me and there is no lien. Also, my entire fund requirement was not from EPF - It was only about 60% of the requirement.

Hi
I have stamped the online PF statements from my bank. Can it work as a replacement for PF certificate issued by EPFO?
Any suggestions would be of great help here. Thanks.
