Hi, Everyone:

Who is curretly stuck outside the Immigration Canada Building due to the protest? It seems that the citizenship test might be suspended today. What shall we do with that?

Any advice?

Thanks

If the test cannot be held, it will be rebooked by CIC.

And yes - sometimes test can't be held due to unexpected circumstances (snow storms, power outages, etc.). CIC has processes in place and will reschedule.

I have my test scheduled for today after lunch. Please let us know what happened to your scheduled test in the morning.

They asked us, the people who were supposed to get the test at 8:15 and 10:15 am, to get back at 1 pm. Then, they just blocked us outside the building and asked us to send the email back to CIC using the email for not attending the test. They didn't even want to reschedule that by themselves. Our tax was really worthy. And they asked us to get back was just telling us to send an email!

Anyway, I encourage the people who experienced the same situation today to file a complaint to the federal government and tell your local MP, especially those whose MPs are not liberals. They may not be able to affect our cases but they need to know what CIC is doing to the applicants.

I called the CIC (30 minutes waiting time but didn't get hung up immediately) and the agent there told me that they will send a rescheduled time to people who were rejected to get in in the morning and afternoon. However, to be sure, I really hope people can call them and share the information here to see if we get the same information.

Thank you!

The officer at the door said they will send emails to reschedule. But I think it is a good idea to call them too.

Should we just wait for the email, or we have to send them an email as well?

The message I got from the phone service is that they will send it to us. During the phone call, I repeated the question several times, and she told me the same. However, I really encourage you to call them and see if get the same answer and share that here.

Thanks
