protected person family sponsership timelines

Pls i need help to know its take how long to bring spouse and dependent children to come canada for the the protected person.
I am here from almost two years. My Case has been approved in pricipal. My Family received documents this week for sponsership in my back home country in pakistan. I am so upset as they sent covering letter in which they mentioned the whole process will take 40 months and we are not suppose to contact before this time period. Please help me.

Applied Refugee claim: nov 2009
Protected person: April 2011
Applied for Pr Card: may 2011
Decision made july 2011.
Family received documents Aug 2011.
