Protech Immigration

Hi -
I live and work in US and have been getting protech emails since a few years. This year I decided to talk to them and check my options on Canadian immigration. I have a US Masters, 5 years experience and have been working at good bank since then. I also have a 4 year Engineering degree from a reputed school in India ( graduated 2001). My US GC process has just started.

I need some serious help from these forum members and I know this may be a repeat thread

Protech says that they have applied from my first stage of filing in Sydney ( they didnt inform me what category etc. they have applied). They say that its gone to Sydney and will take 8-12 weeks to get some sort of a file number ? They applied in late April 2010 and its been 3 months and 2 weeks so far with no update ? Each time I call they say that file numbers are taking 3-4months. They are saying that they have applied only with forms now and that actual attested proof of work and police certification is required only in second stage of filing.

Now can someone please please advise me if this is TRUE or are they just ripping me off my money ( which I have already paid for spouse and myself). Can someone please advise what the average wait time to get the file number is and Protech's process is correct or misleading.

Check my posts from the past couple of months.. Might be useful. Net: They will not rip you off.. But they (or any other immigration consultant) are not very useful in the scheme of things. You could very well apply yourself and save yourself the fee you pay them.

Also, I've actually been to their office. Just regular folks trying to do their jobs, and making a buck while they're at it!!

Thanks to above posts. I guess, as of now I cannot do much but just wait and track the thread for April-2010 applicants.
Lets give it another 2 weeks before we start getting the AOR's.

I am in the same boat. I have applied with protech on May 18 2010 and still waiting for the AOR.

Protech filed my application on October 16, 2009 and I got my 1st AOR on December 17, 2009. Hope this helps!

How could they apply for immigration and not tell you what category you are applying for? You're responsible for the information in your application being true, not them.

I used Protech Immigration and I can tell you that they are just a bench of incompetents, liars, unprofessionals, irresponsable CROOKS on this Planet.

I used them and they wasted 1.5 year of my time and they did drive me MAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! My experience: They sweet-talked me in to signing the agreement and paying the fees but once done, they changed colors and turned their back on me. Their customer service sucks. The same guy who called me atleast twice each day to get the agreement signed, now suddenly was too busy to respond. Not only that they actually hang up on clients when clients vent their frustration. All we needed was some answers to some of the things on forms and letter formats and stuff. MY ADVICE IS PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
