Hey Guys,
I had applied to Sheridan on January 20th for a PGDM in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. I later got a mail asking me to submit a portfolio, Statement of Intent and my Resume, which I submitted on February 10th. Anyone has an idea when I could get my LOA?

Good day,
Am Ayo a graduate of Physics with an offer to university of Ottawa physics masters course fall Sept 2019. (graduated 2015, NYsc 17..gp 4.21, 27yrs)
I am about applying for my study visa but have some questions
My sponsor doesn't have any idea of sponsorship letter and asked me to draft one which I don't also have the idea!
I got a job with pay less than 100k...6months back.. Is it necessary I include this employment offer in the visa application? Thou my company doesn't pay with slip.
I don't have travelling experience nor savings apart from my sponsor which is a citizen of Canada. Plz I need your help on what to do, which documents could be required from the sponsor for a successful grant. ?

Which other backup should I personally include.? Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

I applied for Masters program for the Fall 2019 in the university of Saskatchewan, I graduated with a CGPA of 4.74 of 5.0 in my last two years and overall CGPA of 4.47 of 5.0. I have also gotten a potential supervisor with the department and I also mentioned his name in my application. And my potential supervisor is the graduate chair for the department I applied to.

Please, how certain is my admission for the Fall term and when likely will decision be made also.

Greetings,
Thanks tolulola and johnsnow you guys gave me a lot of information. actually i have another questions regarding funds. i am showing exact amount of CAD 41000 Fixed Deposit (Fathers) in one bank(private bank) and CAD 12600 Savings (Fathers) in another bank(public bank). My full programs cost is CAD 30000.

My question is there any problem if i show 2 types of account(FD and savings) and 2 different bank's statements?

Irrespective of your potential supervisor being the graduate chair, Its not a guarantee in getting an admission owing to the fact of the competitiveness of the program BUT literally, it "might" as well favour you in not only securing an admission but also funding.

..just know your fear is not far from a positive hope

It makes no sense owing such amount in a FD when your program cost is higher than the closing balance in the account. Its advisable to liquidate the FD and have the funds(or part of it) deposited into the account.

In this case, the lump sum deposit can easily be justified and explained(i.e. The FD as referencing). The VOs want to see liquid funds that can be easily accessed not a tied up funds.

You are suggesting i should break my Fathers fixed deposit of cad 41000 account and move some money to my Fathers saving account cad 12600 right?

There is no general format, its similar to writing a narrative essay. In excerpt, the letter should contain your an introductory info of your sponsor's occupational and social details etc. Then the relationship that connects both of you and reasons for such sponsorship, and how much is willing to commit to your studies etc.

Its necessary to include any new employment offer letter or previous, as this explains any study gap(s) and other work experience as not been idle. You can easily explain that you ain't been paid with a payslip in your SOP(you would want to explain briefly why you would want to leave a job you got newly to pursue studies), and your employer can also state it too in their suppose employment letter(which could contain a detailed info of when your started work, total working hours per week, salary been paid, role/responsibility performed etc). Also do well to include an approval leave letter.

Travel experience isn't a principal criteria for a study permit but if have, it also helps.

Your sponsor can show citizenship permit, work permit, employment letter, paystubs(if applicable), ID, SOA, Letter of Sponsorship, and any legal documents permitting his stay in Canada etc

@johnsnow Thank you very much. It was even him that sent me a request via email asking have I secured a graduate student position yet, that if not, he is considering taking me as additional student into his lab? Then I called him on phone and he replied me after the call via email that I should arrange for formal application to be submitted and he will be nominating me for a scholarship too. So after I submitted my application, I called him I am done and He said he will get back to me as soon as he reviews my application
