In most cases YES if you can convince the VO on why you are going for the course and NO if you can't convince the VO. Only quite few numbers are successfully to go for a course outside their previous studies or related to their work experience or outside both by clearly convincing the VO why

I think, given you just concluded an online diploma, you should go for something that relates to it which will be quite convincing of your readiness to go back to school after 8yrs to the VO if you paint a clear picture for the understanding.

You can even state that you were already enrolled to the online program before you discovered that most employers don't pay much recognition to an online diploma in your country and you could not help than to just complete it but now, having tasted education once more after 8yrs, you felt and enjoyed the passion that motivated and drive you to pursue and acquire a certified degree within the confinement of a university or college.. just build your case convincingly when writing your statement of purpose(SOP) to the VO

Thanks a lot. I will do just that.

Yes, it is highly likely that your visa application maybe refused if you're going for UG course after completing a bachelor's degree. You'll need an amazing Statement of Purpose to convince the visa officer for your intention to study a lower credential than B.E

It is strongly recommended to pursue a higher course/program to increase your visa approval chances.

If you have a good profile then why don't you try for university. Master's is good within Canada as well as outside Canada. You will have good chances of visa acceptance but if you want to college you need to give clear picture why do you want to go to diploma course?

I have 68% in my BTECH , less chances to get in university .In diploma I will get practical knowledge more, ultimately you would experience for job.

Hey, you are using consultant's tone. They generally say this to every person. But what I suggest, you got 68%, no issues. In India we have universities which generally provides 8 or 9 pointers easily but in govt. Or semi govt. Colleges it's really hard to get 80%. So college reputation does matter. Besides this, yor profile means your work experience ( if applicable), your co coricular activities and sop matter alot to get ur admission. Why don't you try Ryerson, ottawa Concordia Windsor carleton Universities along with applying colleges. You should at least try once. I suggest you to try Concordia, if possible for you.

It’s not mandatory bro but it is always good to open gic account rather than showing funds.. bcoz the government want investment in their country.

Thanks mate for the suggestion... but dear If the Visa got refused then we have to suffer a huge loss... thus keeping this option in the mind I was thinking to go without GIC... actually i have previously got visa refusal on the grounds of Funds in the month of July...
In the profile... I purchased GIC and paid one sem tuition fee but still got refusal due to insufficient funds... later I requested for GIC refund and we have faced a loss which happened due to currency exchange rate and bank's administrative charges... :(
So thats why this time I am planning to go without GIC but would show adequate amount in the bank account... would it work?

I understand brother. I’m sorry for your previous visa refusal.. the VO refused your visa previously because of funds then according to my experience you should definitely show gic acc this time because if you do it then your funds problem will be solved in the eyes of VO.. and i know thes days dollar rate is also so high and it is very difficult to pay fee at higer rates but according to me this time go with 1 year fee plus gic to make your case stronger and make sure you have atleast 7 lac ruppes itr

No need of that. Just show who will support ur studies and you have enough balance for ur 1 year study program.
