Does anyone have any tips on what to submit to prove I will be accompanying my applicant husband to Canada? We have plans to move next summer but it is hard to submit actual proof. We submitted our application in August and just got an email that they want proof, they gave examples like correspondence with potential employers, or real estate agents. We plan on living with my parents while we work on buying a house, so we haven't been talking to any real estate agents. My husband has applied for a couple jobs but he hasn't heard anything most likely because he can't legally work in Canada as of now, so he hasn't been serious about it. But it sounds like they care more about me rather than him? He could maybe show that he applied for jobs on indeed, but I have nothing to show.
We originally wrote a letter with our plan to move and timeline, and my parents wrote a letter saying they plan on us living with them however long is needed, but I guess that wasn't enough?
I have screenshots of a few conversations with friends & family where we discuss us moving, but that is it.

They just asked me for the same thing (after sending us the Pre-Arrival letter... argh!), and we're also not planning to move until the summer.

I'm the sponsor, so I sent them:
- Emails back & forth with a Realtor in Kingston Ontario
- Emails with the local school board in Kingston regarding placement for my daughter next September
- Confirmation email from my Law School application to Queen's University

Obviously we aren't going to be seriously looking for employment 8 months in advance, nor putting a deposit down on a property just yet. Hopefully that's sufficient. Playing the waiting game now to see if they want even more.

What if you were to email a mortgage lender up there & tell them you have some long-term plans to buy a house? Maybe ask them about what the various down payment options are, what an appropriate debt to income ratio is, etc.
They will, inevitably, add you to a mailing list and you will never get rid of them. BUT it might serve as proof that you are serious about settling in Canada, after staying with your parents.

My husband (Canadian) actually wrote a letter with his intention and and plan to accompany myself(applicant). He mentioned what he did for work and what he was doing prior to moving to Colorado to be with me 5 years ago. He mentioned our plans for our kids and why we chose the location to begin with and how we planned on saving and such for our move. That was more than enough and we received PR in Sep. I did a ton of research to figure out what the heck they wanted to see and this seemed to work. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the advise! Here is what ended up sending:
-More detailed letter from me talking about our plans to move (how we are moving, where we are living, buying a house, etc)
-Letter from my coworker here saying she has talked to me about moving & knows about our plans
-Letter from friend in my hometown (where we are moving to), saying she talks to me daily and has discussed our plans to move and has spoken to us about job connections
-Screenshots of conversations on Facebook with family & friends where I talk about moving
-Screenshot showing I still have a Canadian bank account
-Screenshot of several applications sent to Canadian employers
-Email of conversation with job interest in Canada discussing meeting up for an interview when we are home for Christmas

If that isn't enough, then I will email a realtor in Canada, I thought about doing that but hoped what I had was sufficient. Fingers crossed!
