Can somebody please clarify what is the "sufficient funds" requirements?I am conditionally accepted at U of Calgary Undergraduate engineering program (pending final high school transcripts). The tuition fee for the first year, two semesters, is approx. $20000.Depending on the major that can only be selected after successfully completion of the first year, the overall undergraduate engineering program can take 4 or 5 years to complete. My question is, for the student visa application, do I need to show a proof of sufficient funds covering only the first year tuition fee($20000) plus $10000 living cost allowance( totalling $30000), or the sufficient funds should cover the tuition fee for all 4 or 5 years of the program plus $10000 per year living cost allowance ( totalling approx.$150000)???
Any help will be greatly appreciated, since the answer can make or brake my dream of studying in Canada.Thank you very much!!!

You need to show sufficient funds to cover first year tuition + $10K living expenses + $2K to $3K in travel expenses.

So assuming your first year tuition is $20K - you would need to show around $35K.

You need to show sufficient funds to cover first year tuition + $10K living expenses + $2K to $3K in travel expenses.
You also have to show reliable source of funds which will allow you to cover the next years tuition ($20 000 ) and living expenses ($10 000). So yes at the moment of application you must have $30 000 + a proof that you WILL have $30 000 every year till gradation.

Hey, I'm also going to Ucalgary Undergraduate Science program (Astrophysics). Will apply for visa on 4-5th June. Where are you from? I'm from India.
