Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi all.

I could use some help.

I am married to a Canadian and the both of us live in the UK and have for the last two years.

We are getting stuck on the sponsorship questionnaire where it says provide proof of your intention to re-establish in Canada.

The wife intends to go back a few months before we get the visa through to get ready etc.

The wife's family lives in Canada so she intends to live with them (ruling out the property agreement stuff) and we dn't have anything else off that list that we could even work on without it taking months.

What other things could we provide to prove she has a reasonable intention to move back?

All advice welcome :D

Hi,

I'm in the same boat. My wife is Canadian, but living here in the UK with me. She also plans to return home to Canada before our application is finalised (but after we submit it) to 'start the ball rolling' so to speak...

The only intention we are able to have will be a letter from her sister whom she will be returning to live with until i'm approved/moved when we will find somewhere to rent before finally buying once settled.

However, the big one.. she will have a letter from her (old) employer offering her her old job back which we hope will be sufficient to provide intent to return.

If you could provide proof of job searches, job applications, even refusals for job offers show intent to return.

Also, giving evidence of notice to quit jobs or other ties here in England (bank account closures, money transfers back to a Candian account) are other proofs of re-establishing ties back home.

if you search the forum you will find some more suggestions on this topic - sometimes it's impossible to provide the items on their list, so people have sent personal letters explaining their intentions, letters from family who they can stay with, letters from Realtors who are helping them settle, letters from colleagues/friends who can help get jobs...

it's not an exact science to be sure....look around here on the forum for some more ideas

good luck!

Is your wife going to get a job before you apply is she going to look for a renatal before you arrive are you living with realitives.any of these will prove you are going to reistablish. You just need letters,if your going to live with her parents when you get there have her parents write a letter to the fact.If your wife gets a job use it as proof,If you really cant supply them with a flight unles you are going too.

We were in the same situation as well. Honestly every time we move we don't really plan anything, so that's why we were stuck - we're just a couple of gypsies in love :) haha

So I included a letter from my aunt stating that we'd be staying with her until we found an apartment. She added her contact info as well in case they had any questions.

I think it's difficult for a lot of people to give hardcore proof that they're going to reestablish themselves. CIC probably gets a lot of letters from family members.

Good luck!

Yup, another story to add. I live in the UK with my husband. We will be going to Canada together, so I won't be going in advance or anything. We had a letter from my parents saying that we'd be staying with them at first. I had a couple of emails between me and a prospective employer, a letter from my doctor saying that he knew of our return and was willing to take my husband on, too. My husband also put his CV on Canadian job sites and we stated that, too. Our went through fine, so I think they do know that people can't always supply the information on the list! Good luck! :)
