Hi all,
My wife is Canadian and we're currently living in Scotland together, about to send off our family sponsorship application.
I'm currently a bit worried that we won't have enough proof that we intend to re-establish ourselves in Canada. The plan is to carry on with our current jobs in the UK, and once the visa is approved sell our property and use the money to get started in Canada. I have 10+ years experience working in the I.T industry since graduating from university, so I should be able to get a job reasonably soon after landing, all being well!
We'll be sending letters from friends and family, including one to confirm my wife's parents will let us stay at theirs until we find a place of our own.
Do you think it will be enough to send a valuation of our property, recent mortgage statements and the letters? Any recommendations for other proof (given our circumstances) would be really helpful. I was thinking a health insurance quote to cover our first few months, or possibly emails to show we are enquiring about rental accommodation nearby her parents?
Thanks,
Steven.
