For hours, you can track it through the invoices/receipts to your clients. As on the site:
If the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).
- Articles of incorporation (registration, license, website, workplace photos)
- Self employment income (contracts with your customers, receipts and invoices, taxes, bank statements)
- Reference letters from customers with payment information with contact information.
Are you incorporated or have employees?
You can do that through customer letters.Thank you for your answer @Naturgrl
I can get the Articles of Incorporation, Self Employment Income, and Reference Letters, but the invoices to the clients do not show the number of hours worked and the receipts for the customers who bought through my website, for example, they only show the times their orders were made.
But it would be hard for them to know how many hours I have worked, since they simply made an online order and then received it on the same day through me or my delivery partners, no?You can do that through customer letters.
That is true. Would letters from my ex-interns be accepted though? I could also get reference letters from the service providers whom I have used their services on daily basis over the past few years, would that help in your opinion?Hmm, difficult. If you had a regular employee you could have him/her write the reference letter confirming your working hours. But with clients it might be difficult.
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!If you can get those letters, I don't see how submitting them would hurt. The more letters the better.
I didn't (I applied as self employed as well). I only supplied 3 or 4 for every year to show that it was a continuous business. I also supplied sales tax receipts from the tax authority for every year and 4 reference letters from clients in total.
