I am sponsoring my spouse from outside Canada, we both have a daughter together and we have already applied for her proof of citizenship. For proof of relationship, we are told to provide a certified translation of the text messages/whatsapp chat etc. I dont want anybody to see our personal conversation between husband and wife, what happens if i dont want to give them the translation. ???

Your proof will then be invalid. Your conversations will only be read by an official, they will not be published or shared. IRCC is very careful with the information it receives.
Can i take 10 screenshots of the chat and translate them in english, would that be acceptable ? as we are told to provide 10 pages of chat or messages.
OR
2 screenshots on top half of the page and the bottom half for translation. this way i can send them 10 pages with 20 screenshots of the chat and their translation.

I've read of people who take the screenshots and put up to 4 per page and send the translations separately. It seems better to me the way you say two captures per page with the translation at the bottom of the page. Translations do not count in the page limit of the documents you submit. (If they ask for 10 pages of captures as a limit, you can present the ten pages and additionally the translations as the translator gives them to you.)
Just to elaborate on the above post your conversations have to be translated by an accredited translator, you can't do it yourself.
