If you have other kinds of photos during different periods of time definitely send them. you may regret it later if you don't do it. You have to convince the Immigration officer about the genuinity of the relationship and photos are your best bet even better if parts of both your families are present. You have to try to avoid that your file gets transferred to a local office for an interview. This may add months, even years, to your application processing time. Good luck!!

Is there any proof of this statement( not so much evidence needed if they are coming from a European country) because I really feel the same. I tried to look online to see if there was other posts about that subject. My wife is from Germany and we sent lots of pics of before we got married and after but I wondered if they really needed hundreds of pictures. Anyone heard of this?
One could probably prove it, with access to CIC files. My statement was a generalization based on people's experiences applying for a PR visa, a look at the time lines, and a long time spent reading the appeal cases on CanLii.
In cases where marriage fraud is suspected, a lot more evidence that your relationship is genuine will be needed. Marriage fraud is ordinarily suspected when the applicant comes from a poor country, and especially so if the country is notorious for fraud anyway (for example, Nigeria). Suspicions are raised if the sponsor and applicant are very different in many ways: age, income, family background, education, marital history, religion, ethnic background, etc.
Applicants from Western Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand are generally similar to the Canadian spouse, and in any case are not going to be gaining anything by coming to Canada. There is less likelihood of marriage fraud, so less evidence is needed.

We are doing inland application. I heard that people don't usually get asked in for an interview if they do inland, sorry for going off topic.

And yes I want to avoid adding months or years to this wait lol we sent quite a few pictures of us with our parents and with other family members of mine in Canada...

This is a record of Canadian court cases. You can look up sponsorship appeals. Just search using terms such as marriage of convenience, or bona fide, or immigration spousal sponsorship.
You can then read the court cases and see why certain applicants were rejected. It is the only place I know of where you can see other people's CAIPS notes (not all - there are just quotes from them).
