Hi
I am sponsoring my common-law partner(outland). I am a teacher do I need to photocopy my teaching qualifications or will a letter from my boss stating how long I've worked at my current school and what my role is be enough? I don't intend to teach in Canada as I have a job offer in a privately owned business but I thought it might be useful to provide a potential back up option. I've also included job classifieds for roles that I am suited for.

Additionally do I need a sheet explaining the relevance of each piece of my evidence or is this only for the odd exception that might require further detail?

You are a Canadian citizen living abroad? If so, you'll need to show your intent to move and how you intend to live/support yourselves, amongst other demonstration of plans.

An actual signed, written job offer is already a very good start. Providing a copy of your teaching qualifications as a backup wont' hurt, either. In my view getting a letter from your current boss may not be necessary given the other two factors. My spouse and I included copies of c.v. - in our case I reckoned that was enough to show we both were professionals (and info that could be checked if the examining officer wished). So you probably have enough for that point, you'll want to look also at what other evidence may be useful to support your case.
