Proof of Means of Financial Support - Not Requested?

Hi,

I am filling out my visitor visa application and noticed I don't have the "Proof of Means of Financial Support" document required. Do I not need to provide it?

Thanks! That makes sense. However my friend has valid H1B visa and he's being required to add Proof of Means of Financial Support and Purpose of Travel. I guess for H1B it's different?
