Hi everyone I'm helping my dad apply for citizenship he's 58 years old and didn't take any language test here in Canada, i just want to make sure that people above the age 54 are exempted and don't need to include any proof/form in the application that will be submitted. Thanks in advance!:)

Language Requirement
    1. All applicants 18-54 years of age MUST submit proof that demonstrates adequate knowledge of English or French (even if your first language is English or French). If you are 18-54 years of age and unable to demonstrate that you have the necessary English or French language ability due to a medical condition, this requirement may be waived. You must submit supporting evidence with your application.
So he do not need to submit any Proof if he is more than 54 year old , if he has some old ILETS test result etc . you can attach . but it is not must so . it will not contribute to make any decision for his citizenship application

Good Luck

Don't need anything. Follow the checklist. Good luck.

So i'll just leave that part of his checklist blank and the IRCC will figure out that he is beyond the age limit for that requirement right?

This forum is very helpful thanks everyone!
They won't assume anything as he is required to fill CIT 0002 with his date of birth.
