Proof of intention to live in Canada with Spouse

My wife is a Canadian citizen and is my sponsor. She has lived with me in the UK for 5 years now, so she is living exclusively outside of Canada. In the sponsors documents checklist, item 20 states:

If you are a Canadian citizen living exclusively outside of Canada, you must include proof that you intend to live in Canada with your spouse...once they become permanent residents of Canada.

Now, in form IMM 5540 (Sponsorship Questionnaire), Question 11 asks to provide evidence of the sponsors intention to reestablish in Canada. The evidence we have provided for this question is a letter from her parents confirming that we will be living with them to begin with; a letter from her family's Dentist confirming that he will add us to his books; and emails between myself and a prospective employer to show potential employment when I land.

My question is this: could my wife also use these documents as proof of her intention to live in Canada once I get residence, as stipulated in item 20 of the Documents Checklist? If so, I will make an additional copy of each!

to clarify, are you saying the sponsor's checklist says to submit proof, and you've included this in an answer on the sponsor's application?

if so, then don't bother making copies. in my opinion they are one in the same.

Yes, this is correct. I've included proof in the application in the form of the aforementioned letters and now the checklist is effectively asking me to provide the same proof for the same reasons - to prove intention to live in Canada.

It won't do any harm to include an extra copy, will it? Just don't want to give them an excuse to reject the application based on a technicality.

your application is not going to be rejected. if anything they will ask you for more proof. CIC just doesn't slap a rejection stamp on applications without giving the applicant a chance to appease concerns. it would be one thing if the proof was for different applicaitons (applicant and sponsor), the fact both are for the sponsor suggests they are asking you submit proof of intentions to return in your application, which is what you are doing. no, it wouldn't "hurt" to send 2 copies in the same application, it's just not necessary. it sounds to me as if you've already decided what to do, so if that's your decision, then it's not going to matter either way.

Ok, you make a good point and have eased my concerns. I won't include 2 copies of the same evidence. I will instead just make a note saying "see evidence XX" so they know that the evidence is included, it's just in a different place.
