POF can shows by saving bank account balance, or FD in the name of applicant. and this money must be certified by bank in canadian dollar. u can see this information in document checklist they have clearly defined this.

thank you for your reply. please can you tell can i keep funds $11,115 in indian rupees for 1 day and take a letter from the bank manager stating that closing balance is so and so . is that ok . because in check list it states "current bank certification letter" .please reply me . thank you ,

Dear..as per CHC standards, u have to have account balance of required amount for not less than 3 to 6 months. On the other hand, u will be required to furnish complete bank statement for desired period and not mere certificate.

Further to above, even after furnishing bank statement, It is always advised to keep the minimum balance in your account till PPR.

Please remember that proof of fund is not necessarily demanded only once but may be required more than once at different stages...even with passport request (PPR).

You can go to your bank and request for a bank certificate. It's Ok to have your certificate in your local currency (Rupee in your case) for the POF. Some attach the bank statement of the last 3 months but it is not compulsory. The bank certificate will do.
