My parent's visit visa application was rejected as i missed showing funds from their end. How much funds should be shown in their respective bank accounts for 4 months of stay? My mother is a home maker currently, so do i need to write any letter stating where the funds came from? They do not own any assets.

There is no set amount. They should be able to show the savings amount they actually have saved and makes sense given their location and lifestyle. Would add that a 4 months visit may lead to refusal especially as a first visit.
Yes. Should be 2-3 week visit with $10k per person. Honestly pregnancy raises red flags because IRCC believes they will overstay.
Unless on something like bed rest for example a letter from an MD about pregnancy often hurts applications not help. Asking for a 4 month visit is quite long but it is impossible to predict what VO will do. Would suggest indicating your mother wants to meet her grandchild not help during pregnancy.

So they don’t have family ties if both wanting to come to Canada, and don’t have young children. Mother has no ties to return. How did your father get approved leave for 4 months?
They do have another child residing in home country and this was stated in application with proof. My father is working in a private concern and they do offer unpaid leave for up to 6months.
Only dependent child counts as a tie. Is the child 21 and under?

My bad, dependent child is 22. In that case, what documents can i submit to establish a tie. Will IRCC approve letter for any volunteering work as tie?
Your mom doesn’t have ties to return. It is a job, income property etc. Volunteering is not a tie to return. Maybe try one parent only applying so tie to return is the spouse.
