Proof of Funds

Okay, so I got a few questions regarding the proof of funds required for the study permit.

1 - I've heard that the first year tuition fees + 10k are required. But is that only the BASE tuition fees or are things like incidental fees, dental fees, health insurance etc... required on top of the base fees?

2 - Would I be able to get a loan from a bank to support my studies? Or would that not be accepted for me to get the study permit?

Thank you

Documentation of a loan is fine, it's better if the money is in your account and you have loan documents.

You should be able to show financial capacity for all the fees the school charges you, plus the 10k.

Hi,
My father will be my sponsor and he wants to show his personal business bank account statement. He is the sole proprietor of the business not a governmental business/ Limited company. Will it be alright to show?

Eagerly looking forward to replies.
Thanks

If you can document it properly. They will likely have additional questions or concerns if it is not a personal bank account so explain clearly.

Hello, I have an offer letter from Royal roads University for an 18 month Master's program . The total course fee is 34000 CAD. I have paid CAD 5000 as the first sem fee (thats what they asked for). I will be taking a GIC for 10000 CAD and will be showing around 17000 CAD in my own salary account. Is this enough as a proof of fund or I need to show more. Kindly advice.

Thanks,
Abhijeet

Explain where exactly?
Hie

I don’t know much and i can’t guarantee you that your application will be approved but what i can advice you to do before you apply is to go on this platform, read more about others experiences with their applications and reasons for visa refusals so that when you apply you try by all means to include all those documents to make your application successful.go on to google and search reasons for canada study permit refusals, the reasons are almost the same,go to their website and read their requirements for a study permit.again i’m not an expect.and with your question, you have to write a letter of explanation, letting them know that your father will be taking care of your expenses,he also have to write support letter in that,he should introduce himself to them and how you are related, what he does for a living and how much he makes and have a bank statement as proof of funds.

Well, I think it would be good if you show as much as you can. However, also, make sure that your course is not online? or else you will end up studying online from your home country

I got admitted in Bishop's University, total fees is 33k, I have paid 13,400 for first year as my course length is 2.5 yrs for master's in computer science plus I have gic of 11k.
So i had heard that the border officers may ask for tuition fee for the remaining period is that true? If yes, what can be shown as proof of funds. I know that bank statements are not legible unless six months old or you have proof for source of funds. Kindly help and thanks
