Good Luck

One quick question. Do we really need statements of 6 months even if we have bank letter in the desired format containing all info Cic wants such as current balance, avg balance etc

CIC asks you to list down all your loan and credit statements too. More transparent you are with your bank records and fund requirements, better it is for you.

The statement on loans and mortgage is voluntary. You will never get your application denied for not submitting the loans.
Only the bank letter is mandatory. And if you're unable to get a bank letter, 6 month statement of your checking/saving can be used as a substitution with LOE.

Oh man. These PSU banks in India are such ****. The branch manager gave me a letter but made an error in conversion rate. He corrected the CAD converted currency by hand and signed the correction. After requesting for another letter he refused. Now I have a letter which has correct amount of funds in local currency but hand written conversion to CAD in the same. Any suggestions shall I use this and compliment it with 6 month statements or skip this letter completely and submit only statements

As long as your account balance is clear, don't worry. Just write a LOE and attach it of what happened. :)

Thanks kryt0n. Guess I don't have another option. Will submit whatever I have now. LoE is going to be pretty lengthy already. Hope I don't get a rejection for this ☺

Hi Romeo2529, if I may ask from which PSU bank did you get this letter, I will be trying from 'Bank of India' was wondering if they provide such letters.

All banks can provide you with the letter. My friends got through SBI and Maharashtra bank and I got it from Canara and corporation.
