Proof of Funds

Hello, everyone!

In order to demonstrate I own the needed funds requested, I'm selling my car to complete the amount in my bank account. For the purpose of meeting the application submission deadline, I'm considering selling it to a close relative (perhaps even one of my parents).

When explaining the origin of the sudden influx in my account, I imagine the minimum requirements would be the attachment of a copy of the wire transfer, which will contain basic information from the buyer (with whom I share the same surname). Should that be a problem? I mean, would that raise (unfounded) suspicion of the nature of the money - that it could be a loan, for instance? Do you think the car title with buyer's name should also be sent?

What other documents do you think I could use as proof of funds? Perhaps the warranty deed of a small flat I own (and which I won't be able to sell in due time)? My last tax return forms also mention the ownership of the flat. All of them should be translated into English by a certified translator, right?

Thanks in advance.

You would need to obtain a bank certificate which mentions your bank account number, account name, date of opening, current available balance and average balance for last 6 months.
Sudden influx of money in the account should be supported with either gift deeds or Car/property sale documents. It does not matter much how the buyer is related to you as long as the documents are original and authentic.

You may wish to include your tax returns for last fiscal year and just make sure that documents not in English or French are translated by a certified translator in English or French as requested by all - PNPs and IRCC.
