I have money in shape of plot, gold but not in case. How and how long I should manage bank account of required amount.

Hi,
My suggestion is to have few months old bank statements (like statements for last three months). I have seen few comments with regards to POF in this forum suggesting that it is not required to have any old bank statements.

If you are submitting your full application to local CHC, then of course, you need to send your POF together with your supporting documents.
You need to maintain your required account balance till you get your visa and you will also have to show your POF at the point of entry in Canada if you are not on an arrange employment.

1. 6 months old bank statement is required.
2. Proof of funds is to be submitted along with other documents to local visa office. It is not required with initial application to Nova Scotia.
3. Property in the shape of plots/ land or gold are not accepted. You will require cash in bank, savings, FDR's.

Dear rizwan,

You can skip proof of fund request and you can show your proof of fund at the time of medical. It is not necessary to show the account balance of 3 or 6 month old. But bank account should br 3 month old.

Just send all your documents except proof of fund, medical, PCC and landing fee. Visa office remind you again on later stage..

unless your visa office specifically asks for a six months statement, 3 months statement should be enough. send it at the time of sending your full application.

Which visa office you have opted. Accordingly I will advise. 3 - 6 months is safe. Some visa offices mention in the checklist and some times ask for updated proof of funds

It is always advisable to keep the money in liquid form in as instructed by the CHC instruction guide till visa is issued and liquid cash in form of CAD, TC/bank draft/ bank account statements ( Latest) at the time of completing the landing.

Not only your bank statements, your stocks mutual funds, fixed/term deposits are also accepted.. my lawyer said that unless asked for a specific period, submit your latest statement or a letter from bank ..

Yes they Can Enquire... Hence it is advisable to make FDRs Or deposit Money in Account as soon as the initial application of Nova Scotia is Filed.

Yaa Such amounts are valid of Proof of Funds , "otherwise enquired into"

how we can justify the POF enquire? if we deposited amount after AOR .
